14 ~ October, 2021

The dogs and I stayed in a cabin at 9700 ft, right when the aspens were at their peak this year. We hiked, I caught trout, and did some stargazing. Three times when I was looking up I saw shooting stars. All I had to do was step out of the door of the cabin at night to see the Milky Way. (I try to plan my trips during the new moon to have the best night sky visibility.)

Mollie is already 13 1/2, Hayley 10, and Beau 7 1/2. I am keeping myself aware how quickly time slips by, and am trying to appreciate each day with these amazing dogs. There is no doubt they love me just as I do them, and their loyalty and companionship is one of the best things in my life. We have had some good journeys and adventures this year together.
